About the project (short plain English summary)

This study from the University of Kent aims to better understand how caregivers experience the transition from children’s behavioural services (such as Applied Behaviour Analysis or Positive Behaviour Support) to adult intellectual disability services. The goal is to help inform best practices and improve support for families and caregivers during this important transition period.

  • Care for a young adult with an intellectual developmental disability.
  • Supported their child in receiving behavioural support as a child (e.g., ABA or PBS).
  • Have completed the transition from child to adult services.

What they will ask you to do

You will be asked to take part in a one-hour individual interview online, where you will discuss your caregiving experience during the transition from children’s behavioural services to adult services.
