Type of involvement: Research participation in online focus groups.
Who they are looking for: Young people aged 13 to 25 and parents/carers who have experience living in families accessing universal credit (or one of the replaced benefits) and who have had a social worker.
About the project (short plain English summary): This study wants to figure out how changes in how much money families have and how expensive things are affect how secure they feel financially and how well children are looked after. They’re also looking at how a government money boost called Universal Credit affected how secure families felt financially and how many times children were referred for extra care. They’ll also ask people who work with families and families themselves what they think about all this and how we can use information better to make things better for families and children.
How to take part: Sign up for the online focus groups via the link.
Who are the researchers: The research is a collaborative effort involving Kingston University, Policy in Practice, University of Sussex, and National Childrens Bureau
