Introduction:
Researchers at Kings College London, led by Professor Edmund Sonuga-Barke, are conducting a study to explore how the school environment impacts the emotions of young people. This study is part of RE-STAR, a project aimed at reducing the risk of poor mental health in young individuals and developing new strategies to support their wellbeing at school.
What are they looking for:
Young people aged 11-16 years attending mainstream secondary school, with or without a diagnosis of ADHD and/or autism. Parental permission will be required for participants under 16 years old.
Objective:
To investigate how the school environment influences the emotions of young individuals.
Participation:
- Participate in an in-person lab study.
- Listen to simulated scenarios depicting school situations while researchers measure brain signals.
Reward:
Participants will receive £25, and travel costs will be reimbursed.
